I (Lynne) am thrilled to have received my copies of the new Glimpsing God pack and am proudly showing them around! Everyone agrees that they are beautiful. I shall be using them for two Lent groups starting next week.
Each of the seven booklets in the pack offers poems, prayers and reflections on an aspect of glimpsing God – in creation, in people, in providence, in loving, in sacred places, in suffering and in silence. And all beautifully illustrated – a teacher friend commented that children would like the pictures.
Guidelines for using them in a group are also included in the pack. The suggestion is to allow time for personal reflection, followed by each person in turn sharing what is most meaningful for them personally. The aim is respectful, gracious conversation.
